Here's what I did with my third toepincher coffin. It has an air cylinder inside that opens the lid so that this guy can say hello to everyone. This one is also controlled by a switchboard and will be activated as people walk by. I had to put this one behind a fence where little hands can't reach, because the lid slams shut rather fast and loudly... not that any hands would probably be reaching in there, but you never know.

these props are so good. i wish i had that kind of talent( i have the imagenation though )
I wish I had more of an imagination. I'm better at building and detailing than I am actually coming up with an idea. I can come up with some good ideas, but I forget them all the time because I hardly ever write them down.
You did a fantastic job. You can always get ideas from old horror movies, or horror novels, if you're into those things?? I have a thing for vampires, so I'd probably go all out with a wicked vampire theme. You could do a vampire in that coffin next year, even put a stake in its chest! That would be cool.
